Alexa Edwards, DVM

Dr. Alexa Edwards was born and raised in Preble County, where her love for animals started at a young age. She attended Preble Shawnee from Elementary to High School, and was a 2011 graduate. A few years after considering a different field, Dr. Edwards knew her heart was in veterinary medicine. She began her journey by attending Indiana University East where she received her Bachelor's Degree in 2017. Dr. Edwards spent the next few years as an animal assistant at MedVet in the Cardiology department, and various other speciality departments before continuing her journey. December 2019, her journey took her to a small island in the Carribean where she lived for the next two and a half years attending Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. The island became her second home and taught her the simplicity of life, and grew her as a person. She left the island to complete her clinical year at Purdue University Hospital. She is now a 2023 graduate and continues to look forward to the next journey. Her free time consists of spending time with her family and friends, hiking, festivals, and all things outdoors. She is also proud owner of two fur babies, Koda and Sissy, who are her shadows! Dr. Edwards is excited to join the team here at Town & Country and looks forward to meeting you all !!!
